Are fruit juices the healthy way to go?

When you think of fruit juice one automatically think of a healthy drink however, here we are referring to factory manufactured concentrate juice. This is what some parents are purchasing for their children under the notion that is the best drink available for children. But, don’t be fooled by pretty packaging and words like natural or fruit juice. Read the label and see how much percentage of it is juice and how much straight up sugar.
Fruit juice consumption has been reduced in the last few years. They are great to drink and are usually sweet but, are they as healthy to drink?

For clarification, factory prepared juices are not equivalent to fresh made juices.

Factory prepared juices are;

Made from concentrate, while the water is being removed from the juice.

About half of the vitamins are lost.

Bottle or Box juices:

Added enzyme treatment: The enzyme Pectin is added to clarify the juice.

Gelatin added: This is added to remove any substances that have not been dissolved. The gelatin is made from fish or bones.

Do not substitute juice for fruits Juice contains concentrated sugar and not much fiber.

Young children that drink more 360 mL of store bought prepared juice have a likely hood of obesity and slower growth rate, a possibility because of the sugar content.

Large amounts of apple juice may contribute to diarrhea.

Your choice for a healthy fruit drink is using fresh fruits. Freshly squeezed juices blend have more vitamins, no added pectin, gelatin, or enzymes, and keep it’ll your family healthier.
