Candies are not healthy snacks

It is the holiday  season and children are giddy with excitement and parents are not so giddy with frustration. The indulgence of children includes less sleep and consuming too much sugar at this time of the year. You don’t want to be the big bad parent and deny them from  enjoying the delicacies of the holiday. But, what parents can do is limit home much unhealthy snacks their children are having.

Allowing children to have unlimited amounts of unhealthy snack will lead to weight gain, decaying teeth and a sluggish metabolism. It is best to teach children about healthy eating snacks at an early age

Be wise and incorporate fruits and vegetables at snack time, ensure that they are drinking enough water to flush their system. At this time of the year when sweets are everywhere it is wise to cut back on sugary drinks and limit high fat food. Our goal is to provide healthy snacks for children
